Like the Azul, the PEAKS Roja is a Race wetsuit made entirely from Yamamoto. This second wetsuit in our line is a compromise between the Azul and our entry-level model, the Verde. YAMAMOTO
PEAKS Roja wetsuits are made entirely from YAMAMOTO neoprene. Yamamoto neoprene is high-quality, warm and flexible rubber foam made from limestone. It is used as wetsuit material by the world’s best triathletes and swimmers. The comfortable YAMAMOTO neoprene feels like a second skin.
SCS
All our wetsuits feature SCS. SCS is water-repellent in the air. In water, it moulds itself to the water.
SCS is a special surface treatment of chloroprene rubber with independent air bubbles, whose SCS micellar structure repels water in air but mixes with water in water to create a surface mechanism that reduces flow resistance to almost zero. The surface resistance is less than 1/10th of conventional neoprene and 1/100th of conventional neoprene in water. It is a high-performance material that has created a new sensation in wetsuits.
The SCS also ensures smooth and comfortable dressing and undressing.
The SCS treatment on the inside ensures a very smooth glide against the skin and makes dressing and undressing a breeze. Unlike jersey (fibre), it dries quickly, so there is no discomfort from wetness when re-wearing and the skin always feels dry, even after repeated putting on and taking off. SCS dries very easily, has low heat conduction and better heat retention, is stretchy and tension-free.
SCS increases speed exceptionally. The ultra-low resistance underwater greatly increases swimming speed. The suit is designed for swimmers and triathletes to meet their high demands for speed. The wetsuit remains light because the weight of the suit does not increase due to the water. Stretchy and stress-free. Eliminates heat loss through evaporation and reduces fatigue. This means that our suits have the fastest swimming times with the least fatigue. The Roja certainly belongs in the list of top wetsuits. You get a top product for a small price.
